Box in brief

Operating since 2005 from the United States, Box is a general content platform rather than a deal room, but many companies already use it, and it offers watermarks, an audit trail, e-signature, a mobile app, an API, SSO, two-step login, folder upload and AI features.

ISO 27001 and SOC 2 are both in place and lists HIPAA and GDPR. It does not include a built-in Q&A workflow or per-document view and download control in the way deal rooms do.

Pricing starts at US$15 per user a month, about S$19, and a free trial is available.

Deals Box suits

Security and compliance

Box lists SOC 2 and ISO 27001 and HIPAA and GDPR, two-factor login, single sign-on and an audit trail. For a Singapore bank, insurer or fund manager, expect its IT risk team to ask for the certification reports, encryption details, hosting location and incident terms under MAS technology risk expectations.
