Personal data notice

In short

This site keeps personal data to a minimum. Two things are collected: usage statistics, and anything you choose to send through the enquiries form. We handle both in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

Messages you send us

The enquiries form passes your name, email, chosen topic and message to the editors by email. They are used to answer you, kept only while that is useful, and never sold, rented or added to a mailing list.

Usage statistics and cookies

Three services tell us which pages and calculators get used: Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Analytics 4 (set up with advertising storage off) and PostHog, which can replay anonymised sessions with every form field hidden. Statistics run unless you turn them off in the cookie notice; the notice remembers your choice in your own browser.

Items stored in your browser:

• sgd_consent: your choice about statistics.
• sgd-finder-seen: stops the finder popup appearing twice in one visit.
• cookies from Google Analytics and PostHog while statistics are switched on.

Data handled outside Singapore

The companies that host this site and provide statistics may handle data in other countries. Their contract terms are what we rely on to keep protection at a level comparable to the PDPA.
